TWG TEA SALON
This past weekend, M and I met his cousin from Toronto for tea time at TWG Tea Salon, a Singaporean tea house in Central (IFC Mall). The selection of teas is expansive covering off on many countries. The tea house even provides a "Tea Book" so that you can learn more about the tea you are selecting. Better yet, a special tea master of sorts prepares every cup of tea.
It was the perfect, intimate setting for a long conversation and some great tea. While the tea sandwiches were nothing special, we can't stop talking about the scones. They were perfectly warm, sweet and delicious.
Be warned, a pot of tea is quite pricey (around $80HKD) and does not include hot water refills, with the reason being that they don't leave the tea leaves in the pot. That's super annoying, but it will be hard to resist the atmosphere and tasty scones the next time we are in the mood for a fancy cup of tea.
