MICHELIN STARRED DIM SUM

Last weekend, M took me to Tim Ho Wan near the Hong Kong station and Airport Express for dim sum. I knew it was going to be good judging by the hour and a half wait for a table for two.

The long wait for a table
Tim Ho Wan was started by chef Mak Pui Gor, a former chef at the Four Season's Lung King Heen, with the goal of providing quality dim sum at affordable prices.

While the menu is much smaller than you will find at most dim sum establishments, the menu is full of famous items, such as the barbeque pork buns. The bun is sweet like the pineapple buns (bo lo baau) you find at the local bakeries.

After tasting many of the items on the menu, our favorites were the barbeque pork buns, the steamed rice noodles with shrimp and the steamed cake.

I rate this dim sum meal pretty highly. We will be back again, except at an earlier time to beat the Yum Cha rush!
